About Molly Radecki
Molly Radecki is an artist, photographer, and cultural scholar whose work explores the intersections of media, identity, and meaning in a rapidly changing world. Drawing from her background in photography and sociology, she examines how images, symbols, and stories shape our understanding of belonging—especially across post-socialist and post-colonial contexts. Her creative and academic work often focuses on the idea of floating signifiers—those elusive words, gestures, and images that shift meaning as they move between cultures and generations.
Rooted in the Midwest and influenced by years spent studying and creating in Central Europe, Molly’s perspective bridges the local and the global, the personal and the political. She is currently developing new work that merges visual storytelling with sociological inquiry, exploring the cultural and emotional landscapes that emerge when histories intersect. Whether through photography, writing, or community-based projects, her practice remains guided by curiosity, empathy, and a commitment to cross-cultural dialogue.
